Going to Netroots Nation?

Netroots NationNetroots Nation is coming up soon.

The third annual gathering of the Netroots (formerly known as the YearlyKos Convention) will be held July 17–20 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas. Netroots Nation 2008 will include panels led by national and international experts; identity, issue and regional caucuses; prominent political, issue and policy-oriented speakers; a progressive film screening series; and the most concentrated gathering of progressive bloggers to date.

While I won’t be able to attend, I’m looking forward to reports from others who will be there. The agenda looks interesting. I see that Speaker Nancy Pelosi will be there for a session.

It looks like the registration is still $375, which I think is quite reasonable. And it will be a great opportunity to hang out with progressive bloggers from across the country.

  1. WOW! A perfect occasion to try out the new satellite guided thermobaric bombs…

But I think the name change could pose a problem. The KKKos Konvention is so much more memorable.

You mean there are actually people that pay to listen to Nanzi Pelosi speak?

  2. There’s an incredible range of expertise and diversity of interests, there. Seriously, if you can squeeze out the time for it, it’s much recommended.

  3. OMG, Miles!!! You’re going to be there too!!! I’m soooo excited about that. We’ll have to get together and do some podcasting or live blogging from it.

  4. I have to confess, I chuckle softly at “eTards,” but it’s certainly not a label I would apply to everyone.

  5. It’d be nice if everyone used that word, but for whatever reason there is a cadre of people out there who feel the need to be special.
