American Idol Results 04/07/10: surprises

The music of John Lennon and Paul McCartney was performed by the nine contestants Tuesday night. There were some memorable performances – and a couple of pretty sad ones.  The only question heading into Wednesday’s results show was whether the worst performer would be voted off. Host Ryan Seacrest hinted at the beginning of the show that the votes would be surprising.

In an attempt to add drama to the show, the three females were all brought out to the center of the stage. But they were all safe, meaning that the bottom three was all male.  The six guys were divided into two groups of three. The group that made up the bottom three as Andrew, Big Mike and Aaron, meaning that horrible Tim managed to not only be safe, but to not even be in the bottom. Unbelievable.

Aaron was quickly deemed safe Another surprise.

Slated for elimination was Big Mike. While his performance Tuesday was not his strongest, he wasn’t the worst. The only thing that could save him was the judges, who get one save per season.

The judges used that save.

Big Mike will be back next week.

The downside, of course, is that two people will be eliminated next week. Maybe we can get rid of terrible Tim?

Also, the mentor next week is Adam Lambert.

  1. I am with you 100% on this… Amazing… simply amazing that Tim ‘Why the hell is he there’ Urban goes on.

Big Mike was a bit of a shock to me. Was thinking his personality would save him. Like with politics in the Primaries, it is all about who can get the vote out!

Thanks for some of the best Idol postings around.

    1. Tim Urban is the Vote for the Worst candidate. I’m guessing that fewer people are watching the show these days, so their efforts are paying off. A shame, really.

Glad you like the posts 😉

  2. I think you are correct. The show is really bad and I’ve stopped watching it. Just seems the talent pool was empty when they went fishing…

    Maybe next year.
