My latest op-ed appeared in the Wednesday edition of The Virginian-Pilot. The topic is, of course, last week’s announcement by AG Ken Cuccinelli that will seek the 2013 Republican nomination for governor.
The question of Cuccinelli running for governor was always just a matter of when, not if. As I said in the article, I fell into the camp of later rather than sooner, and tried to figure out why now.
In the wake of November’s election results, 2013 just became too tempting for Cuccinelli.
As governor, he would not have to nibble around the edges of remaking Virginia in his own image.
But that’s not all. Head over and read the whole thing. Then you’ll understand the title of this post. Hint: it starts with M and ends with R 😉
