I suggest we start giving it a try. Give love to the ones that need it.
God will appreciate it.

It used to be called loan-sharking, but now it is business as usual. We need to stop predatory lending in Virginia in the next legislative session.
Some are proposing a 36% cap. This is woefully inadequate to protect people from predatory lending. Very few people can escape from the noose of a 36% loan. It is an unethical business practice to trap people in this way.
As a Certified Public Accountant in Virginia, I prepare a lot of tax returns. I stopped offering next-day refund loans years ago because they are such a bad deal for people. I lost some clients because of my decision.
To protect working families, I recommend a 24%, or less, cap on lending in Virginia. Allowing unethical businesses to exploit people in need is simply wrong.
I have resided in VA several times as well as CA as both a military member and a military spouse. The posting against the bill regarding milspouse relief act was both lopsided and under researched.
I have paid taxes in each of these states as well as my home of record-that is why this bill is so important. I would like to know if you have ever been a mil spouse/military member. I am guessing not if you think 5 million (in essence )relief to these families is not needed. An enlisted E4 with two years service has a base pay of 1921.00 a month. Most lower enlisted families qualify for WIC and are encouraged to apply for food stamps.
I seriously doubt that states are losing that much in income as many service members are not married, are married to other service members, or spouses do not work due to high operational tempo.
I will be forwarding this blog to everyone I know and encouraging them to send it along. Check it out as it will be posted facebook.

Vivian, in light of the recent DoJ decision in the Kinston case (go Indians!), you may wish to revisit this topic.
